EXTREME POWER SAE 20W50 API CI.4/SL 18L

EXTREME POWER SAE 20W50 API CI.4/SL 18L

• SAE – Society of Automotive Engineers. “20W-50” is the viscosity grade.
o “20W” refers to the cold (winter) viscosity: how the oil flows at low temperatures.
o “50” refers to how thick the oil remains (viscosity) at high operating (hot) engine temperatures.
• Oils with 20W-50 are fairly thick/heavy oils: good for hot climates, high-load work, older engines, or engines that run hot / under heavy stress. They don’t flow as easily at low temperatures compared to thinner oils (e.g. 10W-30 or 10W-40).

⚙ Typical Features / Spec You Might Expect from “Extreme Power SAE 20W-50”
Here are things you should check / likely see in the product specs:
Feature Typical / Desirable Value / Purpose
API classification e.g. SL, SM, SN (for gasoline engines) / CH-4, CI-4 etc. (for diesel) — tells what kinds of engines / conditions the oil is suited for.
Viscosity at 40°C & 100°C Defines fluidity and thickness — e.g. > 130 cSt at 40°C; ~18-22 cSt at 100°C (just examples)
Viscosity Index (VI) Higher is better — how much viscosity changes with temperature.
Flash Point The temperature at which oil’s vapour can ignite — higher is safer.
Pour Point Lowest temperature where oil still flows.
Additive package Detergents, dispersants, anti-wear, anti-oxidants etc. to protect engine parts, avoid sludge and deposit formation.
Base oil type Mineral, semi-synthetic or synthetic. “Extreme Power” might be mineral or semi-synthetic unless explicitly stated “synthetic”.
Compatibility Be sure it’s compatible with your engine type (gasoline/diesel), manufacturer’s requirements.
